"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
Psalm 27:1-6 | "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD." |
2 Samuel 22:3 | "The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and
the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour;
thou savest me from violence ... "
|
v47 | "The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the
God of the rock of my salvation."
|
Psalm 18:2 | "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my
God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my
salvation, and my high tower ... "
|
v46 | "The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted." |
Satan's Trap: v3 | "Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler."
|
Attack: v5 | "... and from the arrow that flieth by day."
|
Plague: v6 | "... and from the pestilence that walketh in darkness."
|
Accident: v11-12 | "... For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thou dash thy foot against a stone." |
v4 | "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." |
Verse 14 says, "Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high ... I will deliver him, and honour him."

|
Daniel 11:32-33 | "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days." |
Revelation 20:4 | "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years." |
v14 | "Because He hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my Name." |
Verses 15-16 are of particular importance:
Romans 10:9-11 | "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." |
